Programme Aims
The Master of Arts in Emerging Technology for Future Workforce (MA ETFW) programme aims to cultivate fresh graduates and forward-thinking professionals who can navigate and shape the rapidly evolving emerging technological landscape in workforce settings. The courses are led by internationally renowned scholars and practitioners, with guest lecturers from prestigious universities such as Harvard and Stanford, as well as leading technology industries. The curriculum focuses on the application of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine Learning in education, training, entrepreneurial education, talent management, and the development of industries such as health, sports, arts, and the humanities.

Entrance Requirements
Applicants from institutions where English is not the medium of instruction are required to demonstrate English proficiency that meets the programme’s established standards. Priority will be given to applicants who have achieved scores in the following recognised English proficiency tests:
- Overall score of IELTS 5.5 (academic version)#;
- TOEFL score of 59 (internet-based test)#;
- Band 6 in the College English Test (CET)# with a total score of 430;
- Grade C or above in GCSE/GCE O-Level English; or
- Other equivalent qualifications on a case-by-case basis.
#The test should be taken in test centres and the result should be valid within two years.
TOEFL Home Editions, TOEFL MyBest Score, IELTS Indicator, IELTS Online, IELTS One Skill Retake, Duolingo and National Postgraduate Entrance Examination (全國碩士研究生招生考試) are NOT acceptable.
Tuition Fee
This programme is offered on a self-financed basis. The tuition fee is HK$184,800 for the whole programme, which is provisional and subject to adjustment. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable.

Teaching Language
The medium of instruction is primarily Putonghua, supplemented with English.
Teaching Location
Classes in the same or different semesters may be scheduled on weekday afternoons/evenings, weekends, and/or during long holidays. The courses will be held in the classrooms of the Xiqu Centre of The Education University of Hong Kong, situated in West Kowloon, or at other locations designated by the University.
